It is a dreary Monday morning with the expectation of rain...

I currently only have internet access at school, so I probably won't be posting much until Thursday night or Friday. I'm supposed to be having my internet hooked up at the new apartment later this week.

So Saturday morning, my parents called to ask if they could come over and help move some of the smaller boxes I already had packed. I didn't have a problem with that, I thought I would get a free meal out of it as well. So they came over and immediately took me out to lunch (which was fabulous), then we made a trip to the Salvation Army so I could drop off a huge pile of clothes that I don't need anymore. During the drive to the Salvation Army, my dad asked if there were any U-HAUL rental places around. I didn't think there were, so he asked where the nearest Home Depot or Lowe's were, both of which were a good 10 miles away from where we were, so I told him where they were thinking that he wouldn't drive all the way up there to see if they had trucks to rent. Damn Lowe's to hell for having a truck he could rent on Saturday. So my parents and I proceeded to move all of my furniture to my new apartment. We got the couch stuck at the top of the stairs with me pinned against a wall. Thank goodness one of my new neighbors was home so we could use their entrance way to get the couch in. So they moved all the furniture and left. My cell phone died somewhere in the middle of the day so I had to go bitch at the company to give me a new one because it is a malfunction in the phone and nothing that I could have done. They are sending me a new phone this week to the old apartment because I couldn't remember the address for the new apartment. By early Saturday evening, I thought I was done for the night and I was hungry. I couldn't find a phone book anywhere to order a pizza, so I checked my mail box because five days a week I get those stupid coupon fliers. There were no coupon fliers in the mail box but there was one in the trash can next to mail boxes. I was already all dirty and disgusting at this point, so yes, I did garbage dig for a pizza flier. I was definitely not too proud to garbage dig that night, I was too tired to care. I thought I was too tired and sore to do anything else when Amy called. She was in town and wanted to come over and help, to take her mind off of things. We moved some furniture around (in four different positions before she settled on one) so it all wasn't sitting in the middle of the living room floor. Amy was leaving when my friend Steph was coming over. Steph was coming over to help me unpack. I was worthless by the time Steph came over, but she was a big help that night.

Sunday I spent the morning unpacking at the new apartment and the afternoon at the old apartment packing and the evening at the new apartment unpacking. Steph's husband came over to finish moving the bigger things yesterday. He brought over some house-warming beer. He was glad to get out of his house and be a help some where else. He's just kind of funny that way. We chit-chatted over a beer for awhile when Amy called. She was going shopping at Target to take her mind off of things. She wanted to know if I needed anything for the new apartment. She ended up buying bathroom stuff for me... a cute shower curtain, decoration towels (and I still don't understand why these are decoration towels and I can't use them, but oh well), and bath mats.

Today, I still have a ton to unpack, but I also have a ton of research I need to do. I'm torn as to whether I should leave campus and get some unpacking done or if I should stay in the computer lab and try to get some work done. All of my school books, research materials, and notebooks are all packed somewhere and I need to find them all in order to complete my work for the week. Decisions, decisions...
