Another year has come and gone, a brand new year lays ahead. A "proverbial" clean slate is being placed in front of me as I type. This is the day that, traditionally, I'm supposed to assess my life, note changes I intend to make, and spend the next year striving towards those goals. It all seems so damn pointless. I could make the same resolutions any other day out of the year and have them hold the same meaning. And I'm far more apt to vow to make changes in my life during Yom Kippur when I'm forced to sit and feel guilty for a year of sins. So since today feels like any other day, I'm not making any resolutions this year (oh no, could that be a resolution?). I never seem to keep them anyway. So I guess this means that I'm going to "keep on keepin' on".
