am still in a grouchy funk today.
its not so bad right now because i just carried two 50 lb bags of sand from the parking lot (100 yards in 100 degree heat) into the physics building, up a flight of stairs, and another 50 paces to the lab. such a small amount of manual labor helped me appreciate the fact that i don't have to do that all day long every day. i have quite a 'cushy' job in that respect. however, now i am drenched in sweat and not smelling too nice. too bad for everyone else in the lab today.
am very quickly returning to grouchy. amy says that everyone is entitled to a grouchy day or two, so i'm taking my quota for the month and using it this week.
talked to ingrid briefly today. called her for her monthly "are you still alive" phone call. she is now on my 'shitlist' for multiple reasons that i do not feel like discussing here.
i should get back to work, as i have been successfully avoiding doing any work for the last couple of days.
