The lab has effectively shut down for finals week. I am thankful that my major professor recognizes that we need to study and values good grades so much that he will allow us to slow our research productivity to nil twice a year to get through finals weeks.

I am almost finished reviewing what I am going to review for quantum. I figured out that I will have to completely bomb the final in order to earn less than an A. I am far less worried about that final now. I'll be moving on to lasers shortly. I am also plodding through all of my music to see what is worthy of being put on the new powerbook (named kate). All of the boys have left the lab for the day, it is so nice and peaceful here right now. It will allow me to tie up some loose ends in here. I need to finish gathering up some papers to take to Chicago with me. My major prof wants me to read up on the research project I will be taking over in a week... so my vacation will be a working vacation but at least it will be a vacation.
