this morning i bought a plane ticket to go to chicago for a few days immediately after finals...
a much needed vacation. when i return, i will work. summer projects will most likely be handed out in tomorrow's lab meeting. i am looking forward to the distraciton of being productive.

on a side note, was invited to have lunch with Prof. Frank Wilczek yesterday... during one of his talks i learned that Einstein had a "second" law. Einstein's "first" law is

E = mc^2

you know the equation, everyone knows the equation whether or not they know what it means. Einstein's "second" law is

m = E/c^2

where m is mass, E is energy, and c is the speed of light in a vacuum. Just by algebraically rearranging one of the most famous equations in the world lends a whole new meaning to it. In the first equation you are looking at mass and speed creating energy. In the second equation, mass is created by energy. 'Something created out of nothing.' Physics is a strange language to try to understand...

I have not read Angels and Demons, when I have, I will take a stab at your question. Until then, I hope you can find someone else who might be able to help you...
