working on my fifth beer and probably my 15th cigarette...
Trying to keep track just as I should try to keep track of workouts. Maybe I will start keeping track of both on here. So I should say:
19 min, 1.10 mile, 120 calories burned
I will probably start lifting again soon. I need to keep my arms, back, and abs strong if I'm going to get back to playing golf.
What I really want to bitch about tonight is why parents are so stupid... I'm not talking about my parents, I'm talking about the parents I come in contact with every day. I may be a physics major but I'm also a certified child care technician who is employed at one of the preschools on my college campus. The parents I babysit for on a regular basis understand that they have to call me over a week in advance to book my time or they won't have me sitting. They know that I will refuse to sit at the last minute unless it is an emergency (i.e. someone is on their deathbed). I have this rule because I refuse to be taken advantage of, and yet, my phone was ringing off the hook today to babysit for Thursday and Friday because the county public school system is closing school on those days. I will not babysit during the day, during the week, because I have classes to attend and my own life to deal with. But that is beside the point, if these parents really wanted me to sit, they had over a month to plan for this week, why would they wait until the last minute to plan. It makes no sense. Wouldn't you want to get the best sitter possible for your kid early enough to guarantee that sitter would be available? Exactly. I'm the best sitter available and I don't appreciate being called at the last minute. The families I do sit for on a regular basis know the rules and they know that if they pay me well, I won't leave them until I graduate and have to move. That is simple logic.
As for my borrowed hour from skipping class, I didn't do anything productive. I bounced around different blogs to try to discover new things I could integrate into mine. Nothing new of note yet...
I should get to bed, I have to study all day tomorrow.
