I am spending the majority of the day with the coolest little three year old to walk the face of the earth. He's sick and his parents can't afford to take the time off of work. They called me in a panic last night. I don't normally allow for last minute notice or missing class to work or sitting for sick kids, but I just couldn't say no. These are good people who work hard and yet never get ahead. They can't afford to pay me most of the time so we've worked out a deal. They feed me a meal on the day I sit for them and then they inform their church how many hours a month I volunteered for them. Their church runs this program where if you volunteer so many hours a month and give the church $15, they will give you $40 worth of groceries. Its not a bad deal if you ask me, but the church groceries only come around once a month.

Since Xander doesn't feel good today, we haven't played too much. He just wants to lay on the floor or the couch, so we've delved into the world of television for children. I think my new favorite kid show is 'Dora the Explorer', she's a bilingual tomboy.

Have to get back to the little man. Its lunch time, then story time, then naptime, then class time for me.
