after lunch i stopped by the old apartment to pick up the mail and fill my car up one more time with things that i haven't moved yet and i found a note posted on the door from the complex office. the property manager wrote a very nasty note informing me that i owed rent for november and that it was 7 days late and i owed $30 a day for every day the rent was late. so of course, this made me incredibly angry because i don't owe them a dime. if she had (done her job and first) checked my rental history file (that she has because i've lived there for four years), she would have seen that at the beginning of the current lease, my roommates and i paid two last month rents. so that means that we didn't owe anything for october and november of the end of the lease.
this property manager is the same woman that i fought with for two months in order to try to find a way to stay in the complex. if she would just do her job right the first time, we wouldn't have so many disagreements. i was in a great mood until i got that damn "rent is due" note. since she ruined my mood, i decided to be *mature* about the situation, so i went down to the office and ripped into her. i'm sure this will give me some bad karma, but i feel like she got what she deserved. she just needs to realize how to work with people, generally, when you do you so, you won't get irate customers coming down to get in your face.
i get so irritated with people who don't do their job efficiently before harassing their customers. i'm tired of dealing with these people and its just one more reason to justify my move.
