i just got home, yes, i know its late. i spent all day on-campus watching the engineering expo demonstration that the society of physics students was putting on. physics won "best show by a student society" so, in essence physics rocks. i did however, get to see little girls hanging out with their dads talking about things related to science. it made me miss my dad a lot. he was always the one who helped me with my science projects when i was in grade school (i always one first prize). 
 
i stopped by a halcyon concert. they are an 'indigo girls' wanna-be folk band who play here once a month. i have to say, i'm glad i don't go every time they are in town. i haven't been to see one of their shows in many months, and when i went tonight it was the same old shit just a different day of a different year. i saw people there tonight that i saw there five years ago. so much has changed in my life in the past five years that I find it amazing that this particular group can still bring out so much of the same lesbian community that was around five or more years ago.

i'm off to bed, my parents will be here tomorrow. i really need to study but i'm glad they are coming. it will be nice to spend some quality birthday time together even if i'm swamped with school work.
