i am rather upset that i can 'google' for this page and it comes up.  i am also upset that when i 'google' my name, my work information comes up.  i cannot do anything about the work information, as it is state university information, they can disclose it wherever they want.  but i may have to change to a different journal provider that will allow me to hide from the google powerhouse and delete this entire journal.  i really don't want this journal found by certain people.

hi H. Try adding the following line to your page:

META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW"

(you need to add < before it and > after it)

I grabbed it from Google's help page if you want more info http://www.google.com/webmasters/3.html#removed

But doing it this way should take care of all robots, like yahoo, google, etc.

Hope your day gets better! -d

What search term did you use? I came up with a ton of sites when I searched by your last name and when I searched for "female physicist". Mine only comes up when I search for smfrost or my title (but my title pulls a bunch of sites because it's popular). Hmm.

D, thanks for the input, i'll try it as soon as i get a spare minute today.

i searched for 'femalephysicist', as one word it comes up, as two words, it doesn't. i also searched for the subject line, which brings up the page as well.
