so i've decided to stay here and weather out Ivan. if it looks like its going to get bad, i have been given permission to evacuate with zoe to the lab at school. my professor even said that if he has to evcuate, he's going to move his wife and animals to the lab. it would be interesting to have the six of us (me, my lab mates, and our prof), our significant others and our animals all cramped into that small lab just because its the safest place for us to be.
so i'm hunkering down for the weekend. i am as prepped as i can be. i am going to be cleaning up the apartment and doing laundry. i want to try to stay at home as long as possible, not only to conserve gas, but to also be comfortable and get as much homework done as possible.
the university has not decided whether they are closing the campus on monday and/or tuesday yet. we should find out on sunday evening.
