my internet access has finally be reconnected at home.
apparently, my cable internet connection was linked in some way to the cable that my neighbor had. my neighbor moved out last week, so she had her cable turned off which turned my internet off. when the cable tech guy showed up today, he couldn't find a cable line leading to my apartment. his conclusion was that there is a splitter somewhere in the cable line between my apartment and the one next door. he graciously reconnected the neighbor's cable so i can have internet access until next thursday when another cable guy is going to come out and install a line directly to my apartment.

its not been a fun week. am feeling very overwhelmed. so much so, that i had to go to the mall yesterday for some retail therapy. i bought a pair of shoes. also, on the way out of the mall, miss j lost a battle with a puddle on a tile floor, this was the result.

i'm 11 days smoke-free and it's not getting any easier yet...

Now I feel completely justified in my refusal to wear flip-flops! Thanks! I will not be breaking the cherried ones out of their fitness center prison anytime soon!!
Surely you know who this is... there can't be too many of us with cherries on their flip-flops!

yes, i know exactly who has "cherried" flip flops and that they are in your gym locker. by the way, may end up needing the combination again (i lost it) because i would like to start working out there again.
but i do not recommend boycotting flip flops. they are a fabulous footwear option considering:
1) this is florida and you can wear them 9/10 months out of the year
2) they are cheap and you can buy every a pair to match every outfit that you own (not that i have actually done that, i'm just saying...)
3) they allow your feet to breathe and feel cool
4) they can show off your pedicures (not that I have one, i'm just saying...)
5) weather friendly (do not get ruined in the rain...)
6) to add to reason 5, they allow you to jump in puddles in the rain...
and those are just the reasons i can come up with off the top of my head...
