I love the Olympics. I live for the two weeks every two years that the Olympics are televised. It doesn't matter whether its the summer or the winter games, it doesn't matter what sport is being televised when, I love it. I will watch as much of it as I can. This is the first time in 8 months that I have regretted not having cable television, I won't be able to see all of the sporting events on all of the different stations. To witness such feats of strength, endurance, and will-power is inspiring. To be told the life stories of the athletes, how they struggled and worked and sacrificed to be the best in the world is moving to say the least. To watch personal triumphs and defeats brings humanity to the games that athletes compete in like they are gods of their sports.
Okay, i have to go watch now...

You may come over if you need the cable fix of the Olympics, we've been flipping back and forth between cable and basic tv. You are much more noble while watching the games - I just watch and root for the team with the cutest girls. I was once on a plane with the entire US female soccer team... If I knew then what I know now...
