it is a crisp, clear moring. when i say "crisp" that means the temperature here has fallen below 80 degrees. its beautiful outside. i've had my house 'open' for two days now.

so we have dubya for another four years.... bleh.... i'm too sad and angry about the election to write much of a commentary on it right now.

i will be leaving for tennessee on thursday for a conference. our whole lab group is going even though only two of the five of us are presenting material. we will be making the twelve hour drive in a big van. i love the guys in my lab group, i'm just not sure if i want to spend three or four entire days stuck with them. my professor has been prepping me for this conference since august and its finally upon us. i still have some reading to do to make sure that i will be able to answer most of the questions that will be thrown at me. i should do okay. my "talk" has been finished since august and i have been made to practice it almost every week since i have finished it so it is pretty well memorized. we shall see how it goes. i'm sure i will write about it when i get back next weekend.

since its saturday morning, i'm going to go listen to NPR and sip on my coffee.
