I am one tired physicist. I am actually still at work. I have about 8 minutes before I can put two samples into their furnaces and then another hour and 20 minutes of taking measurements on another furnace before I can leave for the night. I was hoping to have a short day today because I got so much accomplished yesterday. However, I made one mistake today that delayed me by four hours. That was fun, let me tell you. Oh well, everyone is gone, the building and parking lot is empty, the safety patrol has already knocked on my door, and I don't really mind. The measurements I am making tonight will cut out some work I would otherwise have to do tomorrow. These samples absolutely have to go in the furnace tonight. I need a third wind to hit me if I am going to keep working tonight. My second wind hit at about 6 pm and I am fading. Oh the joy of summer research.

I've been there many times, being the last one in the lab. I kind of like it, though. You can be free to live our madness. But, it is kind of freaky when you are leaving and your car is the only one in the parking lot.

I agree, it is kind of freaky when your car is the only car in the parking lot when you are leaving at night.

I was surprised to see a comment registered on this blog as I haven't updated it in a few months. I now write on a different blog. Feel free to email for the new address.
