I talked to my former teaching pro today. She called to ask if I would be her fourth in a scramble tournament this Saturday. I consented. I cannot tell her no, she knows this but doesn’t take advantage of it as much as she used to. So I went to the driving range tonight and hit. It felt so good. It has been so long since I have gone to the range, for me, and just hit. I wasn’t worried about my swing; I wasn’t worried about the people watching me. As soon as I gripped the club, I was in my own little world, everything else just slipped away. Tonight my love of the sport was reignited. I am going to try to find a women’s league to get involved in.
