Played in the scramble with my former teaching pro, Laura, today. I put a few good swings on the ball, had a relatively good time even though my mind was on matters going on at home. The sky opened up and drenched us in the middle of the tournament. We ended up 5 under par. If either of us played with any regularity, I’m sure we could have scored better. We had fun though, and that turned out to be her whole reason for dragging me out onto the course.

After the tournament, Becca and I decided to head back up to University Town to spend the rest of the weekend with her friends. We have been chatting over drinks and watching movies. I really like it up here. I needed to get out of the house. I needed to spend time around other people. Too many of my days and nights are spent alone reading or in the lab working.
